The use of dangerous gases and
materials in large quantity such as oil, coal, fossil fuels methane and Freon
gas is damaging our atmosphere and is causing depletion in the number of
forests. They have also greatly damaged our ozone layer. These factors are
increasing our Earth's temperature significantly.
According to estimations, the
continuity in the release of such gas into the atmosphere will increase the Earth's
temperature by 1.5 to 4.5 C and will increase the ocean's level by 0.2 to 1.4
meters(both by the end of 2030). This poses the threats of some huge future
disasters.
The use of such gases is common in
refrigerators and air conditioners. We have to step forward to control further
damage to our earth and this can be done by using R-134a gas in refrigerators
and air conditioners instead of Freon gas. Not only this gas is environment
friendly but is also:
- Non- poisonous
- Non-corrosive
- Non-flammable
- Odorless
- Harmless to food and clothes and
- Non-explosive
