Rules for Internship


  • Internship duration is 6-12 weeks in an organization which offers opportunities
  • For trainings and practical know-how. Therefore the interns are advised organizations.
  • An acceptable dress code will be observed during the internship period as part of personal hygiene and grooming.
  • Student will have to maintain the decorum of the internship in respect of the culture of the organization.
  • Interns will not enter into any conflict with their supervisors, managers or research advisors during their training period.
  • Leave of absence will not be allowed, except for those who could present a valid reason on account of their absence.
  • Any unauthorized leakage of company’s rules. Policies and procedures or likewise would be considered as violation of internship criteria.
  • No switch over will be allowed at all.
  • At least 3 bi-weekly progress reports will be submitted as a rule during the internship period.
  • A hard copy of the final report must be submitted at least two weeks before the end of current semester/ or immediately after the completion of your internship period.
  • False presentation of the documents and other irregularities, such as misconstrued information, internship in absentia will be treated as fraudulent and may invite disciplinary action.
  • All prospective interns must attend the in-house grooming sessions which is a obligatory part of the internship. Failing to comply with this rule would be tantamount to abandonee the internship period.
  • All prospective interns must attend the grooming sessions before they are placed for their training.
  • All hard copies of final reports must be submit in person at the placement office and handed over to the person concerned.
  • Placement office would not be responsible for any reports left unattended.
  • Internship progress reports are mandatory part of degree programme at IMS. Student that enrolls for internship must send at least three progress reports during their internship period.
  • No student will be given any presentation prior to completing their course work assignments and business policy.
